My Sketchbook Shame.

For those interested, here’s a snapshot of what my sketch books look like. 

 I draw on 11 x 15 Strathmore Premium Recycled pads. I kinda have nightmares that one day they will stop making them, and black Pilot Precise Extra Fine Pens.

Anyway these are what my sketchbooks have evolved into. I very rarely use the page to do a complete anything. Its just a mass of scribbles and ideas, usually with notes. I’ve taken to writing “use this’ on a arrow pointing to something worth while at a later date. 

This is almost always done with the pen mentioned above, a pencil, and a sharpie for blacks. Sometimes I’ll whip or a prismacolor gray. 

Learning how to be un-precocious about my sketchbooks has helped me immeasurably. My advice— keep you sketchbooks messy.
